Outdoor Center and Climbing Wall Hours
The TCU Campus Recreation and Wellness Promotion Climbing Wall is sure to provide you with an exciting outlet, whether you are entirely new to climbing, have been climbing for years or are just looking for a challenging addition to your workout regimen. We offer instruction and supervision on our 30 foot indoor climbing wall, with over 20 top-rope climbs, and a variety of bouldering routes.
If you would like to be certified to belay at the wall, there are opportunities to test out and receive your certification by one of our Lead staff members Mondays – Fridays during climbing wall normal operating hours (excluding holidays and summer sessions).
You can learn how to belay or receive a refresher on the skill, you can participate in one of our bi-monthly belay classes. Our skilled instructors will teach you all proper belay policies and procedures during class. You must wait at least 24 hours to return to the climbing wall to demonstrate proper skills and complete the certification. Belay classes cost $5 and the certification test is free.
