It was the love of officiating that first lured Cristie into what was to become her passion and vocation in life. Having started refereeing at the young age of 14, it’s no wonder that the sign posted on the Elon College campus saying: “Officials Needed” provided the perfect opportunity to explore the world of Campus Recreation.

Upon completion of undergraduate and graduate work within the different areas of campus recreation, Cristie came to TCU in 2002 to assist Steve Kintigh and Mary Ellen Milam with the finishing details of the “new” and present day campus rec facility. Cristie has served TCU as the Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Sport Clubs, Associate Director of Programs and presently serves as the Associate Director of Operations/Facilities. She is the one that will provide you all the information you would need to know when you want to reserve any space at the recreation facility.

Of all her different and diverse jobs that she has held in the past, Cristie says that none compare to that of being a “Little League Baseball Mom” for her son. With the occasional spare moment, you will find Cristie hard at work remodeling/redecorating her home with an all-out complete excitement and enthusiasm.   This same enthusiasm is seen when the time comes for the students to return from summer vacation and Cristie sees them for the first time – happy times are soon to follow!
