As the Assistant Director for Wellness Education, Yvonne primarily oversees the education, prevention and outreach efforts for the department, and manages the Frogs for Wellness Peer Education program. She is a certified trainer for The Body Project, and in the areas of bystander intervention, suicide prevention, Clifton Strengths, and LGBTQIA education. Yvonne is an active member of NASPA – Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education and Leadership Fort Worth.

Prior to coming to TCU, Yvonne worked at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. She has experience in the areas of residential life, alcohol and drug education and intervention, leadership development, student conduct, and diversity education. An avid reader and bibliophile, Yvonne loves to connect research to practice, particularly in helping people improve their well-being.

Yvonne received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Southern Methodist University and her Master’s in Counseling and Guidance, with an emphasis in Student Affairs & Higher Education, from Texas State University – San Marcos. She is currently pursuing her doctorate in Higher Education Leadership at Texas Christian University.
