TCU Employee Fitness Offerings

Sponsored by TCU Human Resources

In an effort to provide opportunities for TCU Employees to improve their physical wellness, the department of Human Resources is sponsoring selected group fitness classes and personal training sessions. This collaboration will make these fitness offerings free to any Faculty/Staff member with a current Rec Center Membership.

Faculty/Staff with a Rec Center Membership can log in to the Campus Recreation & Wellness Promotion portal by visiting mycampusrec.tcu.edu and entering their TCU credentials. Once logged in, members can navigate to the Group Fitness section of the portal.

  • Available group fitness classes are listed in the normal group fitness schedule. The classes listed below will allow you to register without purchasing a group fitness pass.
  • Available personal training sessions are listed under the Employee Personal Training Offerings tab.
  • These offerings will be available from August 29th – December 16th, excluding university holidays.

Group Fitness Classes

All classes are free during the 1st week (week of August 22nd).

    • Monday, 5:30pm – Vinyasa Yoga
    • Tuesday, 12:15pm – Pilates
    • Wednesday, 12:15pm – HIIT
    • Thursday, 6:15am – Cycle
    • Friday, 12:15pm – Boot Camp

Personal/Small-Group Training

    • Monday – 11am-1pm
    • Wednesday – 7am-9am
    • Friday – 12pm-2pm

To register for a spot in a group fitness class, or to register for a time with a personal trainer, members can click any of the available class or appointment times and register. Registering will ensure that the personal trainer or fitness instructor can prepare for the appropriate number of participants, and it will allow us to keep accurate records that aid in improving this program moving forward. Members can register up to 48 hours in advance, and they must cancel their registration (if necessary) at least 15 minutes prior to the start time.

Group Fitness classes are open to Group Fitness pass holders in addition to faculty/staff members to encourage a fuller, more engaging class experience.

Personal training times are split between 1-on-1 times and Small Group Training times. Up to 3 members can sign up for the 1-on-1 times each hour. Those who sign up can work individually with a certified personal trainer on exercise programs, correct form, and any other questions they may have (the personal trainer may need to move back and forth between multiple clients during this hour). Up to 15 members can sign up for small group training times. These sessions will be focused on a group workout that the personal trainer designs specifically for the members who register.
