| Family Hours Family hours are those hours in which children under the age of 18 are permitted in the facility. During SUMMER, family hours are during all operating hours. Children must be a Rec Center member and present membership ID card at check-in or be a paid guest. (see child membership info on membership page). All children must remain at all times in the immediate activity area within sight and sounds of the sponsoring member while using the University Recreation Center. |

The TCU Outdoor Center encompasses a 30-foot indoor Climbing Wall that provides you with an exciting challenge with over 20 top rope climbs! Whether you are entirely new to climbing, have been climbing for years, or are just looking for a fun addition to your workout regimen, our climbing wall has something for everyone to enjoy.
You can learn how to belay by participating in one of our Top Rope Belay Classes. Our skilled instructors will teach you proper belay technique and current TCU Climbing Wall Rules and Regulations during your class. You must wait at least 24 hours to return to the climbing wall to demonstrate proper skills and complete the certification. Belay classes cost $5, and the certification test is free.
