Outdoor Programs FAQs

Adventure Trip Program FAQs:

Can I register for trips at any time?

Yes. All trips have open registration from the first day of class until they are filled. Some trips fill quickly (Fall/Spring Break, Full Moon Paddles, Stand Up Paddleboard) so register early & often!

Is there a limit on the number of people that can come?

Yes. Due to instructor/participant ratios, as well as equipment available, different trips can accommodate different numbers of participants. Most allow for ~10 participants.

How experienced do I need to be to come on a trip?

You don’t! 🙂 Our trips are meant for participants that are interested, but maybe not experienced. All trips are led by well-trained, professional staff that are excellent teachers.

Do I need to have all my own gear?

No. Most of the gear will be provided for you by the Outdoor Center. Various personal gear, depending on the trip, will need to be provided by the participant (e.g. boots, rain jacket, etc.)

When is payment due? Is there a deposit?

Most trips do not require a deposit, and payment is due upon registration. A few trips (ex. Grand Canyon, Angelfire Ski Trip) require a deposit to hold your spot.
