New adventure trips for this semester

Adventure Trips have been a part of the Outdoor Center for as long as people can remember. However, we just had a turnover in terms of director of the OC. With the new director in place, we now have several new Adventure Trips. Two of these trips include luxury camping and ski trips.

beavers-bend-state-parkThe Fall Color Paddle is from Nov. 7 to Nov. 8 in Beavers Bend, Oklahoma. This trip includes kayaking down the Lower Mountain Fork River while staying in a cabin, instead of tent camping. For $175, you’ll receive kayaks, shelter, leaders, food, and all other equipment needed to enjoy a weekend in the wilderness. The deadline to sign up for this luxury trip is Oct. 30 at 6 p.m.

angel-fireOur skiing trip is located in Angel Fire, New Mexico from Jan. 4 to Jan. 10. For $850, you’ll receive lift tickets, a cabin to stay in, transportation to New Mexico, leaders and more. While this may seem a bit expensive, the cost of skiing on your own in Angel Fire is double the cost we’re asking for. Several students have said they’re interested in a ski trip, and now’s your chance to do it! Sign up in the rec quickly as there are a limited number of spots available.
