Group Fitness Classes

Pass Options
(can be purchased in the Campus Rec Office or Member Services Desk with cash/check/credit; Send-Home forms must be completed in the Campus Rec Office)

Semester Pass = $80 – Good for unlimited classes during the semester of purchase

Month Pass = $30 – Good for unlimited classes for a calendar month after purchase (expires on the same date of the next month; e.g. August 20th – September 19th)

Day Pass = $10 – Good for unlimited classes during the day of purchase (expires at midnight)

Purchase passes in our Main Office or at Main Entrance and Register for a spot in a class by visiting the MyCampusRec Portal (

  • Visit and sign into the MyCampusRec portal
  • Browse the “Group Fitness” icon to see the classes we offer
    • Click “Register” and purchase the class for $0.00
    • Participants will not be able to register unless they have purchased a Group Fitness Pass
    • Classes will be free (no pass required, but check-in encouraged) during the first week
  • Registration will open 1 week before the class start time
    • Participants should register before attending each class to make check-in quick and easy.
    • Pre-registration for a class must be completed 5 minutes prior to class start time.
    • Instructors will check-in participants at the door when they arrive (at least 5 minutes before start time)
    • Participants can cancel their registration up to 15 minutes before the class starts
  • Registering for a class ahead of time will help to speed up the check-in process!
  • Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class start time to check in and prepare for your class. Participants on the standby list will be allowed to enter 5 minutes prior to the start time, and they may take the place of registered participants who have not checked in yet.
  • Entry will not be permitted once a class has started.

Fall 2018 Group Fitness Classes will run from August 20th – December 7th.

No classes on Labor Day (9/3), Fall Break (10/13-10/16), or Thanksgiving (11/21-11/25)

Cardio and Conditioning

Body Blast
Body Blast is a muscle endurance class that will tone and shape your entire body. This workout challenges all your major muscle groups by using the best weight room exercises like squats, presses, lifts and curls. Great music, awesome instructors and your choice of weight inspire you to get the results you came for – and fast!

Boot Camp
Boot Camp workouts are extremely effective and efficient. In this class, we will use various equipment such as BOSU, dumbbells, and much more to strengthen every muscle group. Cardio intervals interspersed throughout the class will keep the metabolism revved to torch major calories. Boot Camp will give you maximum results in minimum time.

VIIT is the New HIIT! Experience a short, effective workout with Variable-intensity Interval Training (VIIT). This research-based program features Mind/Body, Agility & Strength, and High-intensity Interval exercises for every fitness level for a fun and challenging workout!

An intense full-body workout that incorporates entry-level yoga, resistance training, and cardio. Build strong and toned muscle through a variety of exercises using nothing but free weights, a yoga mat, and your body weight.

TNT (Tone-N-Tighten)
This is the ultimate resistance training workout. It will utilize dumbbells, body bars, tubing, and bands for a full body burn.

TRX Boot Camp
Born in the Navy SEALs, Suspension Training bodyweight exercise develops strength, balance, flexibility and core stability simultaneously. It requires the use of the TRX Suspension Trainer, a highly portable performance training tool that leverages gravity and the user’s body weight to complete hundreds of exercises.


Core Strength

Whether you’re looking for a quick workout or wanting to add on to your routine, this half hour of core-focused work will get the job done. Tighten, strengthen, and stabilize your abs, back, and glutes all in 30 minutes. Everyone wants 6-pack abs! Let us chisel your core!

Core and More
Train like an athlete in 30 action-packed minutes. A strong core, from your shoulders to your hips, will improve your athletic performance, will give you ripped abs! Motivating instructors and music will guide you through functional and integrated exercises using your body weight and more – all to challenge you like never before.

Dance and Much More…

Dance Cardio
Get ready to feel the beat and bring the heat! This class fuses cardio movements together with a hip hop dance style to create a unique, high-energy cardio dance class. No dance experience necessary – just come ready for a good time!

Step Jam
This class will get your mind working and heart pumping while learning fun, creative, dance oriented step choreography. You will use multiple steps for some serious cardiovascular conditioning. Class will include a short core workout at the end of class.


Mind/Body Classes

Barre is a unique fusion of Pilates technique, ballet-inspired movements, and yoga wisdom all set to energetic music. We incorporate weights, bands, mat work, and classic ballet barre work to achieve cardio conditioning and total body toning, often with dramatic waist and hip trimming and muscle-lengthening results. Movements are high-impact but easily modified for beginners or those recovering from injuries.

Yoga 101
Yoga 101 looks to join breath and movement in a calm practice that is designed to help you unwind. This flowing class begins with a warm up of sun salutations and core strength to build up warmth in the body. The class alternates between periods of movement where we flow from one posture to another focusing on core strength, followed by periods of stillness, or active recovery, where we take time to stretch out the larger muscle groups and relax the body. All classes are a mix of postures, breath work, philosophy, meditation, and relaxation. Each instructor presents their own unique approach to this mind & body method, so make sure you try them all.

Athletic Yoga
A vigorous and athletic style of yoga practice. This fun and challenging class will have you moving, sweating, and breathing like you never before. The classes always different with their creative, eclectic mix of traditional and innovative yoga postures that are designed to build: strength, stability, and stamina while increasing flexibility in tight/overused muscles. Prepare to discover muscles you never knew were there.

Hatha Yoga
A more traditional style that focuses on holding postures and moving mindfully with your breath to focus on mind-body connection. This class will help reduce stress and increase energy stretch while strengthening the muscles and encourage you to breathe more freely and fully. Especially friend to those new to yoga, including basic poses.

Mat Pilates
Mat Pilates is designed to work EVERY muscle in the body in an efficient, focused manner. The exercises are designed to align, lengthen and strengthen the body in a unique way. Most movements are non-impact and non-weight bearing.

Vinyasa Yoga
Vinyasa is a fluid yoga class. Although this class will keep you on the mat, the dynamic nature of moving from one posture to the next with the flow of your breath (Ujjayi breath) will challenge you to find stillness. Balance poses and inversions will be explored alongside standing and seated postures – and holding those poses within the flow will help to create warmth in the body.

A fusion of (flow) Yoga and mat Pilates. Think core strength plus flexibility. Emphasis on strengthening the core abdominals, back, hips, and glutes using classical mat Pilates exercises followed by yoga poses to increase flexibility.

Spin Classes

Cycle Xpress
Cycle Xpress is a 30min high intensity class perfect when you are short on time, but you still want break a good SWEAT. You will get 30min of fat melting, leg and core work in this Xpress class and you will be amazed how you feel and what you accomplish in just 30mins.

The POWER of your MIND and BODY! BELIEVE you can and you are halfway there… An INTENSE 30-50 min indoor cycling workout that will have you sweating like crazy, burning a ton of calories and in the end make you believe you CAN do this and love every minute of it! BELIEVE and NEVER GIVE UP!! Rides display real-time performance tracking one big screen at the front of the room and the other screen music videos so you have something more focus on then the pool of sweat under your bike.

Pedal Power
Make sure you check out our state-of-the-art Keiser bikes and projection system so you can see how to stack up with the rest of the class. This energy-packed class emphasizes intervals, drills, and race-day style indoor cycle workouts that are sure to “spin” you into shape! Come prepared with water and a towel because this class will definitely make you sweat.

Experience the addictive workout that builds strength, increases stamina and lifts your spirit. Enjoy routines that are synced to the beat of the music. Meet the challenge of sprints, hills, and jumps as our expert and motivating instructors lead you through a fun and energetic 50-minute REVolution.
